Resolution xx-2019 Authorizing Supervisor and Highway Superintendent to sign form PERM 32 Highway Work Permit Application and Undertaking.
Whereas, residents commonly express concerns about enforcing local traffic speed limits; and
Whereas, the Caroline Town Board wishes to deploy a digital speed notice sign at key locations, including near Caroline Elementary School; and
Whereas, the Town Board budgeted $3,000 in the 2019 budget for a digital speed notification sign; and
Whereas, deployment of such signage requires that the Town obtain a PERM 32 Highway Work Permit; therefore be it
Resolved, the Caroline Town Board hereby authorizes the Highway Superintendent and Supervisor to sign and submit the PERM 32 Application and Undertaking.
Review and discussion of 2020 Tentative Budget
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A PUBLIC HEARING
on the proposed Budget of the Brooktondale Fire District will be held at
7:00 P.M. at the Brooktondale Firehouse,
786 Valley Road, Brooktondale, New York 14817,
in the Town of Caroline, State of New York on the 15th day of October, 2019.
Pursuant to Town Law §105, the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget,
make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing,
allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing.
This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing.
The purpose of the public hearing is to allow any person(s) to be heard in favor of and/or against the proposed budget
as it is submitted, or for and/or against any item or items contained in the proposed budget.
Copies of the proposed budget will be available on Monday, October 14, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Brooktondale Firehouse,
786 Valley Road, Brooktondale, New York 14817.

Privilege of the Floor Policy at Caroline Town Board Meetings
• Privilege-of-the-Floor is offered at the beginning of town meetings as an opportunity for individuals to provide input to the town board. Speakers have up to three minutes, subject to modification depending upon time constraints of a particular meeting. Each citizen is provided one speaking opportunity per meeting; written input is also welcome.
• Comments should be directed to the town board. The Supervisor or Councilpersons may answer questions brought forward or defer to allow for further research and thought.
• Respectful discourse is required.
