2nd Public Meeting on Local Law Revisions Wed Aug 30th 6:30-8:30 PM

The second Public Meeting for review of Caroline Subdivision and Site Plan Review Local Laws will be Wednesday, August 30th at the Brooktondale Fire Hall, 786 Valley Road, from 6:30-8:30 pm. Our Moratorium Local Law has links to the relevant Subdivision and Site Plan Review Local Laws, Caroline's Comprehensive Plan, and other useful resources. 

The following are some handouts to work from that we will have at the meeting:
  1. Caroline Subdivision Law - Applicability, Review Criteria, and Design Guidelines
  2. Caroline Site Plan Review Law - Applicability, Review Criteria, and Design Guidelines.

Public Meeting on Caroline's Land Use Local Law Wed Aug 16th 6:00-8:00 pm Town Hall

​We have scheduled a Public Meeting for Wednesday, August 16th, from 6-8 pm at the Brooktondale Fire Hall to begin discussion of changes under consideration to Caroline's Land Use Local Laws. We will be generating discussion for constructive feedback from the public and consideration of ways in which each review board or town committee may be able to provide assistance.
 
Our Moratorium Local Law has links to the relevant Local Laws, Comprehensive Plan, and other resources.

Privilege of the Floor Policy at Caroline Town Board Meetings  

  • Privilege-of-the-Floor is offered at the beginning of town meetings as an opportunity for individuals to provide input to the town board. Speakers have up to three minutes, subject to modification depending upon time constraints of a particular meeting. Each citizen is provided one speaking opportunity per meeting; written input is also welcome.
  • Comments should be directed to the town board. The Supervisor or Councilpersons may answer questions brought forward or defer to allow for further research and thought.
  • Respectful discourse is required.

Town Board Meetings are the first Tuesday and second Wednesday (following first Tuesday) of each month at 7:00pm at the Caroline Town Hall, 2670 Slaterville Springs Rd.  The public is encouraged to attend.
