The Planning Board recently developed a survey to seek ideas and opinions from residents to assist us in updating the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. The survey was made available in late April, on line and by mail to nearly every residential mailing address in Caroline, about 1500 households. The survey was developed following a series of community meetings with approximately 50 residents regarding what they valued about living in Caroline. The survey was an effort to inform all residents of the Comprehensive Plan Update and to get broader input from residents.
We received a very good response: total of 365 responses, 138 on line and 227 by mail. Thank you for the time and the careful thought that you put into the survey. We are compiling the responses to each question and will provide an analysis of those responses.
The results of the survey will be made available on the Town website. We also plan to hold a public meeting to discuss the survey findings in September or October. Notice for the meeting will be sent out to the Town list serve and posted on the Town website.
A link to the original (2006) Comprehensive Plan can be found under "Quick Links to Hot Topics" on the home page of the Town's website www.townofcaroline.org
The information from this survey, together with public meetings that will follow, will guide the Planning Board in the update of the Comprehensive Plan. We look forward to your participation in that process.
