On Tuesday, January 7 at 7 pm the Caroline Town Board will hold a public hearing at the Historic Town Hall, 2670 Slaterville Road, Slaterville Springs, to hear any and all comments regarding the proposed Local Law allowing residents of adjoining towns to serve as appointed public officers.
This public hearing will be continued at the January 15th Town Board meeting, 7pm.
This law will allow the Department Heads to select from a broader pool of applicants when filling positions for appointed public oficers, while still emphasizing our locality by restricting the residency allowance to adjoining towns.
Statements of up to 3 minutes may be made at the public hearings at the Jan 7th or Jan 15th board meetings at 7pm, Caroline Town Hall, 2670 Slatervile Rd.
Comments may also be sent to the Town Clerk via email clerk@townofcaroline.org or
by postal service to Town Clerk, Town of Caroline, PO Box 136, Slaterville Springs, NY 14881.
The clerk will share your comments will all board members.
