Dear Citizens,

 

After 5 years of community input, the Town Comprehensive Plan’s “Vision and Goals” and “Five-Year Strategies” have been adopted and are available for all to read.  The link is on this website.

 

The Town Board has now charged the Caroline Planning Board with developing strategies to implement the goals of this Plan.  The Planning Board will be scheduling meetings through the Town to gain community input on how to implement these goals. I’m urging you to look for these meetings and participate.

 

This work is important for our Town and is an opportunity to develop a guidance system by which changes can be measured to show their compatibility with our goals for the future.  Please take the time to get involved.

 

Democracy only works for those who participate in the process, by becoming informed, speaking your voice, and voting.  From my experience, it is a rewarding process.  I hope that you’ll join in with this issue as well as any other issues that are important to you.
